During the summer months, we hit the water 3 or 4 times week on both Salmon and Flathead Lake. We also train year round in our own gym, which includes strength training and paddling ergometers.
We are grateful to Ben Yonce (Langel and Associates) and Scott Smith (United Locators), for graciously allowing us to house our gym in their building.
We are also grateful to Peak trainer, Mike Rankin, who trains us year-round, 3x/week. Mike’s dedication and belief in our ladies goes above and beyond our expectations.
This next summer of 2023, we plan on being on the water by mid-May in both our dragon boats as well as our OC6’s (outrigger canoes). We will be hosting a training camp in June.
We are hosting our biggest fundraiser of the year, our 4th Annual Paddle Palooza in July (a 30-mile voyage) where we will be joined by paddlers from Canada, Maui and the Pacific Northwest. We will also be competing in August at the Calgary Dragon Boat Festival and we will be helping to bring back the Montana Dragon Boat Festival, to be held in Polson, Montana in September.
We know that regular exercise can reduce the rate of recurrence by 40-50% and by continuing to create a community of survivors we can continue to be beacons of hope for others.
